Are you building your legacy?

Most of us spend little time thinking about how we want to be remembered by others. Yet when we carve out the time to reflect on our lives, this exercise (for many of us) will not only bring up our happier memories and prouder moments but also some heavy emotions—feelings of lack, loss, and maybe even regret. Use those heavier emotions to plan and prioritize your year ahead.

This is a reminder that we all can create a legacy through greatness, kindness, years of service, or one profound gesture or idea.

Today is New Year's Day, and at the beginning of each year, many of us reflect on the chapter we just closed before starting the next one. 2020 was challenging for many of us, and I spent most of the year hibernating (or hiding) from the world.

But I'm tired of hibernating.

After an entire year of isolation and introspection, I'm ready to build my legacy by doing what brings me joy.

So here's my question for you... are you building your legacy? Are you living an intentional life filled with purpose and joy, or are you just surviving as I have this past year?

I wish you all the best for the year ahead, and may it be better than the last one.
