I Don’t Have Enough Time

This is something that I say to myself a lot. I don't have enough time to grow my business. I don't have enough time for my family. And most of all, I don't have enough time to take any "free time" for myself. What even is free time?! And who has free time these days?

However scarce time may feel to you, the world is slowly moving from a culture of hustle to flow. And that's a good thing. Frankly, it's about time.

Ok, but how do we stop feeling so short on time?

I learned from coaching that we start by telling ourselves a different story and thinking a more useful thought. So instead of "I don't have enough time," we can try thinking, "I have enough time for what matters most to me." This shift in mindset, from one of scarcity to abundance, can bring a sense of relief and hope. It will also help you prioritize what is most important. Don't get me wrong, I'm still working on this shift, and I have a lot of work left to do. So, whenever I feel stressed or overly busy, I take a short timeout to reassess my priorities and make time for what is most valuable to me.

This is why, if it is worthwhile for you to leave your legacy behind, start recording your story today. Your story is unique and valuable, and it matters. Don't wait until you have more time because you may never feel you have enough time. This could mean that you start by writing down significant moments in your life, sorting through your photo archives (both digital and physical), or creating audio/video recordings that share your story.

That said, if this feels overwhelming, remember that you're not alone. Your story really does matter. And if you'd like someone else to take on this project for you, I'm here to help. I built my business around saving you time by using a full-service approach so you can spend your time doing the things you love most.

You have support in this journey.

Because your time is essential to me, I'll leave you with this quote by Seneca: "It's not that we have little time, but more that we waste a good deal of it."
